Alternative tourism in Bulgaria

Winter is mountain time for many people and it's understandable - snow creates a lot of beauty up there. And since our city is just in the feet of beautiful and high (2290 m.) mountain like Vitosha it could be pitty to miss the chance to see all this white charm and Sofia from above. I can suggest you few options for tour. It can be just a short walk to a picturesque spot; hike or even a mountain biking in the lower part of the mountain. If you want to go high we can reach the places by hiking, car, cable car or bus (only in the weekends). It can be also for the sunrise or sunset or even night gazing or hiking (I know this mountain well and city is visible almost all the time). Everything is up to you! Hi adventurous people. I'm searching for a second member for my kayak voayage from Conevo dam untill the Black sea coast and the pleasant wild beach Karadere through the river Kamchiya . I have inflatable two-seated kayak and I watched a video of people who already did it with a simillar one. The journey will start 28th August, Wednesday morning from Sofia with train all day to Conevo. In the evening we'll camp next to the river and next day early start to float. The whole journey is about 50km so it's possible to do it for one day..but we'll see. At the finnish friends of mine will wait us at my favourite wild place of Black sea - Karadere.
You only have to be tough enough, not heavier than 70 kilos, positive and to have a helmet (could it be a bicycle one)!
Only now (cause it's exploration) it's for free!
