Square-Foot & At Home Gardening
You don’t need a large farm to make a difference.

Even small spaces can grow:
• Lettuce
• Herbs
• Tomatoes
• Peppers

Growing just a portion of your food increases household resilience.

What does food sustainability mean for Bermuda?

In this video, Cost of Living Commissioner Aaron Crichlow discusses food sustainability and what it means for Bermuda.

Food sustainability means growing more of our own food, supporting local farmers, protecting our natural resources, and building a stronger, more resilient Bermuda for future generations.
Every one of us has a role to play.

Buying local, growing a few herbs at home, supporting community gardens, making thoughtful food choices. Small actions add up to real change.

Watch the video to learn how food sustainability strengthens our community and how you can be part of the solution.

What is the Cost of Living Commission, and what can it actually do?

Commission Chair Michelle Jackson breaks down the Commission itself. Established under the Cost of Living Commission Act 1974 and strengthened by amendment, the Commission has statutory authority to provide oversight of essential commodities, the everyday items families depend on most.

This is a body grounded in law, with a clear mandate: greater transparency on what drives prices, and greater power in the hands of the people to achieve real affordability.
