The Bermuda Health Council advises the public that the medical and dental community, along with health insurers, have been notified of updates to the Medical & Dental Charges Schedules.

The Schedules define how procedures are priced and how insurers reimburse for services delivered in the hospital by community providers. It also requires that covered services include no out-of-pocket costs for patients insured for those services.

Schedules are updated every six months (January and June) to reflect standard changes to prices, application rules, or service codes.

We were honoured to participate in the CedarBridge Academy Vocational Career Fair on Friday, 27 March, marking our first year in attendance.

It was a privilege to engage with students, learn about their aspirations, and play a role in connecting them with career possibilities. The conversations were encouraging, and the talent and curiosity these young people bring is a reminder of why this work matters.

We left feeling inspired by the potential ahead for the next generation shaping Bermuda’s future workforce.

The Bermuda Health Council welcomes feedback related to the health system, health services, health businesses, and other health system matters.

Our Feedback Form accommodates:

• Questions
• Complaints
• Compliments
• Suggestions or concerns

The form allows for anonymous submissions where the nature of the matters can be resolved internally. However, for matters that require inclusion of an external entity (such as health professional conduct matters or health insurance coverage complaints), identifying information may be required for resolution.

Submitting the online form ensures your comments are properly documented and directed to the appropriate team for review.

If you are submitting feedback on multiple matters, please complete separate forms to help us respond in a timely manner.

Meet Our Summer 2025 Interns

This summer, we welcomed a group of bright, motivated interns who are contributing to meaningful projects within the Bermuda Health Council.

Each intern brings a unique background and perspective, and this experience is helping them deepen their understanding of Bermuda’s health system while gaining practical skills that support our mission.

We’re proud to be working in partnership with the Department of Workforce Development, who connected two of these interns to us through their Youth Employment Programme (YEP).

We asked: “What goals did you set for yourself at the start of this internship, and how is the experience shaping your journey so far?”

Their reflections highlight the value of investing in the next generation of professionals, who in turn are already making a difference.
