A team from the assisted with its woodland restoration project on Burt Island, where soldiers helped to remove invasive species to make way for native trees.
The partnership was initiated by Sgt Forrest Williams, owner-operator of , who highlighted Waterstart's continuing conservation management and sustainability efforts, and was pleased to bring together two organisations that have been consistently meaningful for him in celebration of the Regiment's 60th anniversary.
Phoebe Barboza-Bellamy, the director of operations at Waterstart, said: “Having these trained professionals volunteer their time and skills is an incredible resource for our organisation. Their efforts not only accelerate habitat restoration but also create lasting educational opportunities for Bermuda's young people. On behalf of the entire Waterstart team, thank you to the Royal Bermuda Regiment for your hard work, dedication and commitment to giving back to the Bermuda community."
