The National Development Plan: Vision2040, will provide a roadmap for the future development of The Bahamas. The Plan will include a comprehensive policy framework that will guide Government decision making and investment over the next 25 years, regardless of which political party is governing. Vision2040 is an initiative of the Government of The Bahamas, developed in partnership with the Inter-Am

erican Development Bank and in close cooperation with the College of The Bahamas and The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation. The Plan will be guided by extensive research, analysis and widespread public consultation aimed at addressing four main policy pillars: The Economy, Governance, Social Policy and the Infrastructure (Built and Natural). The process of developing the Plan is ongoing and includes three distinct phases: Diagnosis, A National Conversation, and Plan Development. It is hoped that the National Development Plan will be completed in the first quarter of 2016.
