Public Notice from the Great Abaco Cays District Council

Due to concerns raised by members of the public and homeowners in the Tahiti Beach area regarding a proposed event by D & B Sports Bar and Lounge, the Great Abaco Cays District Council has reviewed the request and provided the following recommendations to the organizers:
1. Obtain an Occasional License from the Department of Inland Revenue.
2. Please relocate the event to a more suitable venue that provides appropriate public access.
3. Seek all necessary approvals from the Royal Bahamas Police Force, including arrangements for police presence and security oversight during the event.
The Council remains committed to balancing support for local businesses and community events with the need to protect public safety, maintain good order, and address the concerns of residents.
The Great Abaco Cays District Council appreciates the cooperation of all parties involved and encourages continued dialogue to ensure that community events are conducted responsibly and in accordance with applicable regulations.

The District Council is coming near the end of our budget year and we are fortunate to have some funds in our budget for minor capital works.
