In 2004, Under the Presidency of Mrs. Cyndi Williams-Rahming, The Nassau, Bahamas Pan-Hellenic Council established The Bahamas Greek Hall of Fame to recognize outstanding Greek Members who had made a valuable contribution to the development of Greekdom internationally and/or locally. The policies and guidelines are necessary to govern the selection for future induction into the Hall of Fame. The p
rimary purpose of the Bahamas Greek Hall of Fame is to recognize Bahamian Fraternity or Sorority members for outstanding contributions made to the development of Greek Life in The Bahamas. The individual could have made an international contribution which assisted in gaining exposure for the local council and indeed The Bahamas. The criteria for individuals to be eligible for induction into the Bahamas Greek Hall of Fame shall include:
(1) The eligible candidates must be a fraternity or sorority member who have been initiated into the organization for more than 10 years;
(2) Be a member in good standing with the local chapter and international organization;
(3) Have made a substantial contribution to the local community;
(4) Currently active or previously active in the operations of the local
fraternity or sorority chapter. SIZE OF INDUCTION CLASS
The number of inductees shall not be more than two (2) individuals in any given year. NOMINATIONS PROCEDURES
The following procedures shall be utilized for nominations to the Hall of Fame.
1. Inductees may be nominated either:
a. by the Executive Board of the Nassau, Bahamas Pan-Hellenic Council;
b. by Local Affiliate Chapters; or
c. by a member in good standing.
