OFFICIAL STATEMENT

The Ministry of Housing and Land Reform has completed its review of contracting records following recent public questions concerning the late Warren Ellis.

The review found no record of any contract being awarded to Mr. Ellis or to any company identified in the Ministry’s records as being owned or controlled by him during the period reviewed.

The Ministry remains focused on expanding affordable housing and creating more opportunities for Bahamian families to become homeowners.

A devastating fire destroyed the place they had called home for 25 years, leaving a family of eight without the comfort and security they had known for so long.

Progress at Vinspen Meadows Subdivision 🏡

Construction is underway on 35 homes in the Vinspen Meadows Subdivision as part of a $6 million government initiative aimed at expanding access to affordable housing for Bahamian families.

The development, expected to be completed by May, will also feature a 12-unit building under the Government’s Rent-to-Own Programme, creating additional opportunities for residents to achieve homeownership.
