Just answer the question, Prime Minister.
Did you and your government give housing contracts to the recently slain Warren ‘Spy’ Ellis? Instead of throwing a tantrum and attacking journalists doing their job, you should own up to your own actions.
Bahamians want to know why you’re so touchy about the subject? After all, your government gave tens of millions of dollars in a housing contract to Eric ‘Player’ Gardiner, the convicted drug felon. So no one is surprised that your government would again be doling out more Bahamian taxpayer money to sketchy characters the police are investigating locally and internationally.
These are serious matters Prime Minister. And lashing out at news reporters only confirms that you know what you are doing is wrong, and that no responsible government would do business with persons known to be actively involved in nefarious activities. Bahamian taxpayer funds must never serve as a vehicle for potential money laundering or the enrichment of people involved in illegality.
Furthermore, Prime Minister, did your government also contract Mr Ellis and his team to demolish the domes in Abaco and enforce the final set of evictions of residents?
When the FNM team visited Abaco to protest the evictions, no government agency was present, except for those persons contracted to remove the remaining domes, which had the last group of families resisting the eviction.
Tell the truth, and shame the devil.
