๐ŸŽ‰ Another year, another unforgettable Back to School Jamboree! ๐ŸŽ’
For the 5th consecutive year, the Securities Commission opened its Poinciana House premises to 250โ€“300 children from surrounding communities earlier this month for a day packed with fun and heart. Bouncing castles, face painting, mobile video games, live music, great food, and games galore โ€” the smiles said it all! ๐Ÿ˜Š

But the real magic happened when every child left with a backpack stuffed with school supplies and vouchers to help their families get ready for the new school year. ๐Ÿ“šโœ๏ธ๐ŸŽ’

To our Social Committee team, staff volunteers, and vendors who helped make this happen โ€” thank you! Moments like these remind us why giving back to our community matters so much. ๐Ÿ’™

Happy first day back to school!๐ŸŽ‰

Protecting your finances is an important part of achieving financial independence.

Donโ€™t get swing! Financial Independence can be lost quickly to scams.

Scams continue to evolve but many share the same warning signs.

Hereโ€™s what to watch out for, before investing:
โ€ข Investments that arenโ€™t properly registered or approved
โ€ข Pressure to invest without time to ask questions
โ€ข Unlicensed individuals or firms

An informed investor is a protected investor and protecting your money helps keep you on the road to financial independence.

๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ธ Happy Independence Day to the Commonwealth of The Bahamas! ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ธ

53 years ago, our nation rose built on the courage, culture, and resilience of a people who refused to be defined by anything less than their full potential. This year's theme, "Celebrating Our Heritage, Shaping Our Tomorrow," speaks to us at the heart of what we do every day. Here's to 53 years of independence and to a future as bright as our waters and our sun. โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ๏ธ

09/07/2026

Tomorrow, The Bahamas celebrates 53 years of Independence โ€” 53 years of charting our own course, building our own institutions, and writing our own story. ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ธ

There's something fitting about the timing. Financial independence, like national independence, isn't an event, it's the result of years of deliberate choices, planning, and steady commitment.

Tomorrow, we'll be celebrating both. Tonight, we're reflecting on what independence in every sense means to you.

Every investment carries risk. The goal of a Smart Investor isn't to eliminate that risk โ€” it's to understand and manage it appropriately.

Key risk types every investor should know:

โ—พ Market risk โ€” the potential for losses due to overall market movements
โ—พ Liquidity risk โ€” difficulty converting an asset to cash quickly
โ—พ Credit risk โ€” the chance that a borrower defaults
โ—พ Concentration risk โ€” overexposure to a single asset or sector

A diversified, well-researched portfolio remains the cornerstone of resilient investing. Work with a licensed financial advisor to build a strategy aligned to your goals and risk appetite.

July is here โ€” and so is another opportunity to take charge of your financial future.

As we enter the second half of 2026, ask yourself:

Are your financial goals still on track?
Have your investments been reviewed?
Does your emergency fund still reflect your current needs?

Financial wellness isn't a destination, it's a continuous journey. Small, consistent decisions made today, compound into meaningful security tomorrow.

๐Ÿ“Œ Here's a tip: Always ensure the financial products you invest in are registered and compliant. If you're unsure, ask us.
