Breed improvement is one of the activities to enhance milk production in the Dzongkhag. Accordingly, to achieve the target the Gasa Gonor had supplied few Jersey cows to farmers of Khamoed Gewog recently.
Without the support from DLO, VO and staffs of Tsirang we might not have achieved our goal easily. Therefore, we would like to thank you all for supporting us in sourcing and arranging logistics. Further, we wish for your success in any action you take. Thank you once again.

Gasa Livestock family offered108 butter lamps (karmi jamchey) and prayers on this auspicious occasion of Loard Buddha's Parinirvana for well being of all the sentient being on earth.

Livestock farming is one of the primary activity in highland areas and it's developmental programs are our main objectives. Accordingly, the Gasa Gonor work with dedication to fulfill all objectives. Considering the constraints of budget in the Dzongkhag we had seeked support from other relevant agencies to achieve our target. In ths regards, we are lucky that we had received support from National Highland and Research Development Centre, Bumthang (NHRDC) and fulfilled some of our herders needs. Because of your support, we cold supply CGI sheets, supplementary feed during feed shortage due to heavy snow fall, feed blocks for promotional program and cream separators for Laya Yak group.

To this end, our highlanders are happy and they thank you for making their life easier. With your support they have solved feed shortage problems to some extent, safeguard the vulnerable animals and can produce hygienic dairy products within limited time. Therefore, the livestock sector of Gasa Dzongkhag would like to heartily thank NHRDC, Bumthang and backstage supporters for prioritizing our proposal and supporting us.

However, this is not the end and there are lots to do. So I hope for your continuous support in future and make our farmers life better.

The Gasa Gonor would like to thank Dasho Dzongda of Gasa & 39 De-ssung personals for making the Nationwide Dog Population Management survey of Gasa Dzongkhag a successful event. Without your support we might not have achieved the goal. We know you have tirelessly worked hard with dedication & josh beyond our expactation. You didn't kept the single stone unturned even if you all have to face the harsh climatic condition.
We do expect similar JOSH in future in any activities that nation wants. Therefore, we wish you all best of luck in every positive action you take.
Furthermore, we thank DoL & RLDC, Wangdue for the technical & other necessary support. Finally, we thank everybody including all stakeholders & individuals for making one of the national event a successful.
However it is not the end and we are still looking forward for everybody's support.

Today we could successfully inaugurate the only Milk Processing Unit in Gasa Dzongkhag. Though the structure was established since 2018 we could not run the plant successfully due to lack of some equipment and other resources. With today's program Khamoed Dairy Group is happy to sell their fresh and hygienic dairy products such as yogurt, curd, butter and cheese. Further they plan to produce other products in future.
The livestock sector wish them good luck and hope to boost their economy through dairy development.
The success in MPU operation is mainly due to budgetary support from Dzongkhag and technical support from DoL, NDRDC and RLDC-Wangdue. We thank you all for your support and look forward for similar support in any program in future.
Once again we thank the chairperson (Dzongda), Director of BOC, Representatives from dratsang, OC-RBP, regional heads, sector heads, BAFRA, Gup Khamoed gewog and members of KDG for making the today's event remarkable.
