Field teams recently carried out a series of coordinated conservation activities at Tumdra Ney aimed at improving site management and promoting responsible visitor behavior. As part of the intervention, multiple signages were installed across the site, including waste management signboards, information boards on Higher Conservation Values (HCV), and additional signages highlighting the sacred nature of the area to remind visitors to respect cultural and spiritual values.
In addition, a large-scale waste cleaning operation was conducted along the trail, where significant amounts of litter were collected and properly disposed of. The team also engaged visitors through on-site awareness, encouraging responsible waste disposal and respect for the sanctity of the site.
Minor trail maintenance works were supported to improve accessibility and safety for visitors, including leveling uneven sections. Furthermore, fishing patrolling was carried out in nearby areas to discourage inappropriate fishing activities and to safeguard aquatic biodiversity.
These combined efforts reflect a strong commitment towards conserving the HCV area, maintaining cleanliness, protecting biodiversity, and ensuring that Tumdra Ney remains a pristine and spiritually significant site for all visitors.
