Kangpara ༼རྐང་པ་ར༽ The word "Kangpara"(Dzongkha: རྐང་པར་) literally means "footprint." Kangpara is one of the remotest gewogs under Trashigang Dzongkhag (district).

ther gewogs like Gomdar, Thrimshing, Shongphu, Khaling, Shingkhar Lauri and Merak. Kangpara is popular for housing some sacred monasteries like Lamai Goenpa, Sikhar Goenpa et al., and is also popular for their belief in deities like Ama Jomo and Meme Dangling. The place to be Visit in Kangpara
1. Chenla, Zangdopelri Nyipa
Chenla is a sacred site blessed by supreme saviour Padmakara and Siddha Drupwang Drakpa Gyeltshen alias Lama Khenjey. Situated in Kangpara at the elevation of 4000 M above sea level.

2. Lamai Goenpa
The Origin of Lamai Goenpa dates back to the time of Tibetan Prince Lhasay Tsangma.Lamai Goenpa is a sacred hermitage in the region for housing a rare statue of Tshepamay in the heart of the mountain called Tshephu. Any visitor who stumbles upon a chance to visit Kangpara should not miss the privilege to visit the most sacred hermitage in the gewog. Her Majesty, the Queen Mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck visited the Goenpa in 2000.

3.Kangpar Gonpa
The word "Kangpara" literally means "footprint." There are footprints of Lord Buddha in a hermitage. According to oral sources, the footprints were said to be carved by a great lama Drupthob Dong-nga Rinchen. He visited Bodh Gaya and on his return, brought with him imprints of Lord Buddha's footprints. Using them as a model, he carved the footprints on a stone in the hermitage. It is considered by the people as one of the most sacred relics of the lhakhang along with the Drupthob's walking cane.

4. Sharja Lhakhang
The monastery located at the top the mountain where kissing the sun as early as moring before other part of the village spread with the sun. There you can blessed with 108 stupas of Guru Rinpochhoe.

5.Sikhar Gonpa
Its a religious organization located at the top hill of Dzordung village with great linage of lamas.

6.Drukdra Choeling Goempa(Drupkhang Lhakhang)
-This is the place where the Drupthob Donga Rinchen heard the roar of Dragon, and located top of the kangpara gewog where is worship home for people of kangpara chewog.

After numerous collective efforts by the people, along with support from the Government, it is heartening to see the positive outcome of everyone coming together to do what was possible to enhance their livelihoods.

There will no longer be a need for night guarding of crops from wild animals. With this Government support, people will be able to improve their crop and grain yields this season. It is hoped that this initiative will significantly strengthen and uplift the livelihood of the community.

Farmers in Kangpar village under Kangpar Gewog in Trashigang can finally look forward to a secure farming season. With the completion of a chain-link fencing project, they no longer have to spend sleepless nights guarding their fields from wild animals and are now hopeful of better harvests.
