Phuentsholing Thromde today convened the 1st Sitting of the 4th Dzongkhag Thromde Tshogde, marking both the first session and the start of the 4th local government’s five-year term.
During the session, the Thrompoen, expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome extended to him into the Phuentsholing Thromde family.
He reaffirmed his commitment to working hand in hand with the civil servants of the Thromde, emphasizing that collaboration, mutual trust, and shared responsibility will be the cornerstone of achieving both national development goals and Local Government priorities.
The inaugural sitting was primarily procedural in nature, providing an opportunity for the newly elected members of the Thromde Tshogde to formally introduce themselves and undertake the election of the Deputy Chairperson.
As the 4th Dzongkhag Thromde Tshogde embarks on this important journey, Phuentsholing Thromde remains committed to strengthening transparent, accountable, and people-centred governance.

Phuentsholing Thromde Welcomes Its Elected Thrompon and Thuemis.

Today marked a significant milestone for Phuentsholing Thromde as the newly elected Thrompon and Thuemi Tshogpas formally took the Oath of Affirmation and officially assumed office.
The solemn ceremony, hosted by the Phuentsholing Thromde Administration, was graced by the presence of the Honorable Dzongkhag Drangpoen, Dasho Dzongdag, Dasho Drungpa, Drangpoen Rabjams, Shedra Lam, Executive Secretary, and regional and sector heads of Phuentsholing, reflecting the importance of the occasion and the collective commitment to strengthening local governance.
The Oath of Affirmation signifies the beginning of a new chapter of dedicated public service, accountability, and leadership in advancing the welfare and aspirations of the people of Phuentsholing Thromde.
The staffs extend their heartfelt congratulations and look forward to working closely with the elected members and wishes them every success as they embark on their responsibilities.

Phuentsholing Thromde Welcomes Newly Appointed PGDE Teachers

Phuentsholing Thromde Administration warmly welcomed the newly appointed Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) teachers who will be serving in schools under the Thromde.

During the welcome session, the Executive Secretary highlighted the nobility and significance of the teaching profession, emphasizing the vital role teachers play in shaping future generations and contributing to nation-building. The Executive Secretary also encouraged the teachers to embrace digital learning and innovative teaching approaches to enhance the quality of education in schools.

Expressing appreciation, the Executive Secretary thanked the teachers for choosing to serve in Phuentsholing Thromde and wished them a fulfilling and successful career. The Administration looks forward to their valuable contributions towards strengthening education and fostering academic excellence within the Thromde.

Phuentsholing Thromde successfully conducted its Annual Staff Coordination Meeting today, July 10, 2026, at the Legphel Hotel, bringing together staff ('S' level and above) for a day of administrative alignment and team celebration. The program commenced with a grounding mindfulness session and an inspiring keynote address by the Executive Secretary, followed by a warm introduction of new team members and a traditional Khadar ceremony to honor promoted staff. Throughout the day, crucial sensitization sessions were led by the Finance Division on financial compliance and the Staff Welfare Fund, by the Disaster Focal team on disaster preparedness mandates, and by the HR section on BCSR-2023 regulations, moderation criteria, and workplace sexual harassment awareness. The productive session concluded with high-spirited interactive quizzes and an open floor general discussion, reinforcing Team Thromde’s shared commitment to administrative excellence and dedicated community service.
