Since yesterday, a three-day training programme on Financial Management, Sales and Marketing, and Product Design, Labelling, and Packaging has commenced at the Startup Center. The training aims to enhance the knowledge and practical skills of aspiring and existing entrepreneurs so that they can effectively manage their businesses, improve their marketing strategies, and develop attractive product designs with proper labelling and packaging.
A total of 17 participants are attending the training and actively engaging in the sessions. The programme is expected to strengthen their entrepreneurial capacity and encourage them to improve their products and expand their market opportunities. Such initiatives play an important role in promoting entrepreneurship, supporting local businesses, and empowering community members to become self-reliant and innovative in their business ventures.

The Student Business Seedling (SBS) Featuring Little CEOs training has been initiated in collaboration with the Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship (DoEE) under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment (MoICE) and the Financial Institutions Training Institute (FITI). This important initiative is powered by the Economic Stimulus Programme (ESP) to encourage youth entrepreneurship and nurture early business skills.
The training officially started on 12/01/2026, bringing together young students to explore the fundamentals of business, leadership, financial literacy, creativity, and innovation. The program aims to build confidence, enhance problem-solving abilities, and inspire participants to think like young CEOs. Through guided sessions, practical activities, and mentorship, the students will gain exposure to real-world business concepts and develop essential entrepreneurial mindsets.

The Zhemgang Dzongkhag Administration is pleased to announce an exciting employment opportunity for one dynamic and motivated graduate to manage and operate the Zhemgang Startup Centre. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the growth of entrepreneurship and innovation within our community.

The Druk Tshongrig Gatoen was celebrated on 18th October, 2025 at the Start-up Centre, Zhemgang under the theme “Stronger Communities, Brighter Futures through Entrepreneurship”. Graced by Dasho Dzongrab, the event has brought together local entrepreneurs, Dzongkhag sector heads, RDTC lecturers and trainees, and members of youth centre.

The day featured entrepreneurial journey sharing by Khengrig Namsum Cooperatives (KYC), a session on the importance of product development by RDTC lecturer, and product stalls showcasing local entrepreneurs’ creativity and skills. Moreover, fun and engaging activities such as the “Sell It in 5 Minutes” competition, Spaghetti Tower Challenge, and Message Wall encouraged teamwork, creativity, marketing skills and idea sharing among participants which are essential qualities for aspiring entrepreneurs.

The celebration aimed to recognize and celebrate the efforts of local entrepreneurs, showcasing their creativity, innovation, and contribution to community development. The event sought to inspire youth and rural entrepreneurs to pursue sustainable and locally driven ventures that strengthen livelihoods and promote self-reliance.
