Choki Wangmo To the pleasant surprise of birders and residents, a lone juvenile White-bellied Heron

Today we are thrilled to sight White-bellied Heron in Thimphu, which will enter into historic birding history of Bhutan. The sighting will now add new science of this species record range to much higher elevation.
Equally, we were shocked to receive the picture of Great Cormorant strangulated along with fishes in the fishing net. This species might have peaceful times in summer breeding ground but arrival for winter ground caused it's life here.

Humans are always greatest threat to biodiversity.
