Look to the stars, and discover a different side of Bhutan.
In Bhutan, the night sky has long held a deeper meaning. Beyond its beauty, the movements of the stars and planets are studied through Bhutanese astrology, a living tradition deeply connected to everyday life, important occasions and spiritual practices.

Today, visitors can experience Bhutan’s skies in a whole new way. In Punakha, evenings beneath the Himalayan sky offer an opportunity to discover constellations, planets and the wonders of the universe through stargazing.

You can also delve deeper into Bhutan’s traditional relationship with the cosmos through an astrology session offered by the De-Suung Skilling Programme (DSP) in Punakha, connecting the stars above with a tradition that has guided generations.

CARRYING THE SPIRIT OF BHUTAN TO THE WORLD!

Bhutan’s very own Tenzin, popularly known as the “Mountain Man,” is taking on one of the world’s most prestigious trail-running stages — the UTMB World Series Finals 2026 in the French Alps.

As the only Bhutanese runner competing in the CCC 100KM, Jigme will carry more than the Bhutanese flag. He will carry the strength, resilience and enduring spirit of a Himalayan nation shaped by its mountains.
Having conquered Bhutan’s legendary Snowman Trek, Jigme’s journey from the highlands of Bhutan to the trails of the Alps is a powerful reflection of the adventure, endurance and connection to nature that define Bhutan.

His participation is also an opportunity to put Bhutan’s extraordinary mountain landscapes and trail-running experiences on the global stage — inviting adventurers, trail runners and travellers to discover a destination where majestic mountains, pristine landscapes, challenging trails and authentic experiences come together.

As the Mountain Man takes on the Alps, we stand proudly behind him and wish him a strong, safe and unforgettable race.
