The GovTech Agency invites qualified training consultants and institutions to submit proposals for the Digital Skilling Program under the 13th Five Year Plan (13th FYP).

The program aims to strengthen the digital skills of citizens across Bhutan and help people make better use of digital tools in their work, businesses, and everyday lives. The training will focus on practical and relevant digital skills that support different sectors of the economy.

GovTech is looking for capable and experienced training partners to support the delivery of the program across two Region A and Region B, reaching the participants nationwide and contributing to building a more digitally skilled workforce in Bhutan.

The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity Policy and Regulatory Forum (APT’s PRF 2026) will be held from 15 to 17 September 2026 at Hotel Le Méridien, Paro, Bhutan.

The forum will bring together representatives and participants from across the Asia-Pacific region to discuss and exchange views on key policy and regulatory issues in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector.
APT’s PRF provides an important platform for dialogue, cooperation, and the exchange of experiences among relevant stakeholders on emerging developments and challenges in the ICT and telecommunications sector.

The Government Technology Agency (GovTech), Bhutan, is pleased to host this important regional forum and looks forward to welcoming delegates and participants to Bhutan.

The GovTech Agency is spearheading an initiative to strengthen the skills of ICT professionals and tech enthusiasts to prepare them for high-skilled IT roles and the delivery of high-quality digital products and services.

As part of this effort, the GovTech Agency is pleased to offer *fully funded access to the Udemy Business Enterprise learning platform*, supporting continuous professional development in technology, leadership, and other in-demand digital skills.

Udemy Business Enterprise provides access to over 20,000 expert-led courses, along with advanced features such as analytics, custom content hosting, and personalized learning paths to support structured skill development.

Selected participants will be granted access for 10 months, with the possibility of renewal based on performance. Renewal will be subject to completion of at least 60 hours of learning during the subscription period, with priority given to active and consistently performing learners over lower-performing participants.

To ensure consistent engagement, participants are expected to complete at least 2 hours of learning per month, with progress monitored regularly by the GovTech Agency. Learners who do not meet the minimum requirements may have their access revoked.

This initiative is designed to support motivated individuals committed to continuous learning and professional growth in the ICT sector.

Sustainable Training for Research and Education Network Infrastructure Development and Empowerment ( STRIDE) Train-the-Trainer program

The Government Technology Agency (GovTech) is implementing the Sustainable Training for Research and Education Network Infrastructure Development and Empowerment ( STRIDE) Train-the-Trainer program to build long-term technical capacity for the Druk Research and Education Network (DrukREN). Supported by the Asi@Connect Project and partnering with the Network Startup Resource Center (NSRC). This integrated project begins with a 4-day intensive training from 18–21 August 2026 to turn 17 local engineers into certified national trainers, out of which 5 selected trainers will immediately help NSRC and APNIC experts teach the 5-day btNOG-13 Technical Workshops from 23–27 August 2026, which focus on Practical Cybersecurity, Unix-Linux Infrastructure, and Enterprise IPv6 Deployment.17 participants include 13 from GovTech/DrukREN, 2 from Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) and 2 from Bhutan Telcom (BT)—the program creates a self-sufficient pool of instructors to train ICT personnel across all districts by establishing a Virtual Training Platform (VTP).
