The month-long bestowal of the profound and vast Empowerments, Sacred Oral Transmissions, and Pith Instructions, being bestowed by His Holiness Kyabje Rinpoche at Kuenselphodrang before the glorious Buddha Dordenma, will conclude according to the following schedule:

-28th day of the fifth lunar month (12 July 2026): Bestowal of Dharma names to the Vajra siblings.
-29th day of the fifth lunar month (13 July 2026): Conclusion of the complete cycle of the Empowerments, Sacred Oral Transmissions, and Pith Instructions.
-30th day of the fifth lunar month (14 July 2026): The Grand Tsokor Ceremony (Mass Offering to Mahākāla) will be conducted.

Thimphu Dzongkhag Administration🌿 Inauguration of Chain-Link Fencing under Geney Gewog 🌿

Today, led by Dasho Dzongrab, Dzongkhag officials together with the local communities inaugurated 9.2 km of completed chain-link fencing under Geney Gewog and formally handed it over to the beneficiaries.

This fencing project is a major step in addressing human–wildlife conflict, particularly protecting potato fields from wild boar damage. With potatoes being the main commercial crop in the gewog, the fencing will benefit 46 households, covering a command area of 172.3 acres.

✨ Expected Impact

• Safeguard an estimated yield of 1,165 MT of potatoes this year.
• Reduce crop losses and labour burden on farmers.
• Enhance food security and strengthen rural livelihoods.

This initiative reflects our collective commitment to sustainable agriculture, resilient farming systems, and improved community well-being. Together, we continue to build a stronger and more secure future for our farmers. 🌾

A total of 5,458 third-child births have been recorded as of June 10 under the Third Child Plus Programme, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.

Trashigang has the highest number of births, with 603, followed by Mongar with 541. Gasa has the lowest, with 20 births.

Other dzongkhags with high numbers include Samdrupjongkhar with 411, Samtse with 410, and Sarpang with 350.

These figures show that more third-child births are recorded in the southern and eastern regions compared to western and central dzongkhags such as Thimphu, with 120, and Paro with 169.
