Constituency Visit: Chhoekhor-Tang

Over the past days, Iโ€™ve been spending meaningful time in our constituency, meeting with Dzongkhag and gewog administrations, local communities, and various stakeholders. It has been a valuable opportunity to listen, share, and work together on issues that matter to our people.

I started by visiting the Tang Gewog Administration, where I met with the Gup and officials. We discussed on the importance of public service delivery, reviewed the progress made so far and the way way forward, and and also reflected on the resolutions passed in the last Parliament session.

I also had the chance to join members of the Economic and Finance Committee and tourism stakeholders of Bumthang for a consultation on Bhutanโ€™s tourism policy. Our conversation focused on how we can make tourism more sustainable for the future. Later, I met with the people of Bumthang Thromde alongside the Honourable MP of Bumthang from the National Council.

In the chiwogs, I spent time with the communities of Tandingang, Khangrab, and Kidzom till now. These visits gave me the chance to share updates on development projects and the recent tax bills endorsed by Parliament, while also hearing directly from the people about their challenges and priorities.

I also met with the Dzongkhag Administration, together with the Honourable MP from Chumey-Ura, the Dzongda, Dzongrab, and sector heads. We discussed sector-specific issues.

In the coming days, Iโ€™ll continue visiting the remaining chiwogs in Tang and Chhoekhor Gewogs, along with field visits to SDP projects.
