New Collaboration Horizons: Museum Team Visits Language & Cultural Studies College

A team from our museum were for a productive visit to the College of Language and Cultural Studies on 19th May 2026. The focus? Exploring future partnerships in cultural heritage, history preservation, and promotion, youth engagement.

Discussions centered on joint initiatives to safeguard local traditions and archival materials. A key highlight was assessing the urgent conservation needs of the college library’s priceless antique wood carvings. These intricate artifacts are in need of professional care, and the museum team offered invaluable expertise.

This collaboration promises to blend academic knowledge with hands-on preservation, ensuring our heritage endures for generations.
Exciting times ahead

Thank you college President and Ngawang Sir for hosting us.

Today we said a bittersweet farewell to our beloved museum shop sales girl, Jurmi Wangmo, who’s off to new adventures. We celebrated her with a cozy farewell lunch, thanking her for her warmth and knowledge that brightened every visitor’s day and actively participating in museum management activities.

But every goodbye brings new hellos! We’re thrilled to welcome three new team members: Kinzang Dorji, Yeshi Rigzin, and Dorji Dhendup. Each brings fresh energy and ideas to our museum management.

Change is never easy, but with this mix of gratitude and excitement, we’re ready for a wonderful new chapter. Here’s to old memories and new beginnings!

RHM youth council members and museum management met yesterday afternoon to churn out roles and responsibilities. This gathering has not only familiarised YCM and museum staffs but also understood how each group can assist, create and cocreate knowledge in fields of heritage, traditions and culture banking on digital and emerging virtual spaces.

Thank you for SCS.
