Expression of Interest (EOI) for Operating Gadhen Lingka Café (2-Year Lease)

The Wangdue Phodrang Dzongkhag Administration hereby invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from interested youth groups and entrepreneurs to operate the Gadhen Lingka Café on a two-year lease.

As the recent tender process received no bidders, the Dzongkhag Administration is inviting interested and capable youth groups and entrepreneurs to submit their applications for consideration.

Interested applicants are requested to submit their Expression of Interest, along with relevant supporting documents, to the Procurement Office, Wangdue Phodrang Dzongkhag Administration, on or before 11 August 2026 (Tuesday), 5:00 PM, the official office closing time. Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.

📢 Public Notification – Basochhu Waterfalls

The Dzongkhag Administration is pleased to inform the general public that, in collaboration with PHPA I, TTI Khuruthang and DeSuups of Wangdue, the improvement works at the Basochhu Waterfalls have been successfully completed.

The public is hereby informed that:

✅ The viewing deck and access steps from the base of the waterfall to the viewing deck are now complete and open for public use.

✅ While every effort has been made to ensure the comfort and safety of visitors, we request that no more than 15 people occupy the viewing deck at any one time.

🌊 Welcome to Basochhu Waterfalls—Bhutan's grandest waterfall! We hope you enjoy your visit and create wonderful memories. However, please exercise caution at all times, as your safety is ultimately your own responsibility.

♻️ Please help keep the area clean by disposing off waste responsibly and respecting the natural environment.

P.S.: The Basochhu Waterfall is seasonal in nature. The volume of water depends on rainfall and water diversion for the Basochhu Hydropower Plant. We kindly advise visitors to check the current water flow before planning a visit.

The Dzongkhag Administration handed over Search and Rescue (SAR) equipment to the Royal Bhutan Police (RBP), Wangdue Division, to further strengthen disaster preparedness and emergency response capacity.

The SAR equipment are expected to enhance the RBP's operational readiness, improve coordinated emergency response efforts, and support the timely protection of lives and property during emergencies.

The Dzongkhag Administration also expressed its sincere appreciation to the Royal Bhutan Police for its dedication and unwavering commitment to ensuring community safety & security.

Orientation & Induction Program for 8 PGDE Teachers

An orientation and induction program was conducted for 8 PGDE teachers who will soon be posted to different schools across the Dzongkhag.
