The annual three days Gomphu Tshechu locally called 'Chodpa' will start from tomorrow, November 22,2018. The masked dances scheduled for public performance during the three days celebration will be rehearsed to the public starting early afternoon, today.
By and large, it's the biggest religious gathering of the village where villagers come together in their best attires; witness masked dances, and cultural dances.The occasion also draw audiences from nearby village.

Mr. Gyambo Tshering from Khomshar, Bardo Gewog in Zhemgang is the elected member of parliament of the National Assembly of Bhutan from Bardo-Trong constituency.
He won the general election from Bardo-Trong constituency with total 3633 votes while his opponent came close with 3507 votes.
His party (DPT) however didn't win enough seats to form the government. He will be in the opposition party.
Meanwhile, DPT's candidate from Panbang constituency also won.

Guru Dorje Drolö (Tib. གུ་རུ་རྡོ་རྗེ་གྲོ་ལོད་, Wyl. gu ru rdo rje gro lod; Eng. 'Wild Wrathful Vajra') is one of the Eight Manifestations of Guru Rinpoche—Guru Rinpoche in wrathful form riding upon a pregnant tigress. He assumed this manifestation in Paro Taktsang in Bhutan in order to bring the local deities and guardians under his control.

This statue Guru Dorje Drolö (གུ་རུ་རྡོ་རྗེ་གྲོ་ལོད) 9 Inch tall. Made of Pure Copper was made by Druk Bronze Casting Works during the Re-construction of Taktshang Monastery in Paro during 2001-2004. Presently Guru Dorje Drolö statue (གུ་རུ་རྡོ་རྗེ་གྲོ་ལོད) is seen at Guru Tshengay Lhakhang at Taktshang Monastery, Paro.
