DSM COMMEMORATES BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an international health campaign that’s observed every October every year. The month aims to promote screening and prevention of the disease, which affects most women worldwide…..

Breast cancer knows no age, race, religion and socioeconomic status boundaries. …It typically strikes women during their most productive years both professionally and personally….while we have different languages, varied cultured and diverse origins, we share a common enemy: BREAST CANCER. Hence this awareness month reminds us that breast cancer affects millions around the world and that if we work together, we can defeat it"

Best known for its pink theme color, the month features a number of campaigns and programs aimed at;

•supporting people diagnosed with breast cancer, including those with metastatic breast cancer
•educating people about breast cancer risk factors
•encouraging women to go for regular breast cancer screening starting at age 40 or earlier, depending on personal breast cancer risk.

STAFF FAREWELL SESSION FOR MS MALOPE
….a joyful moment as DSM staff gathered to bid farewell to their coworker Ms Julia Malope who was retiring from the public service after serving for a protracted time as a reprographer. Moments like this needs to be cherished to express gratitude, appreciation, and best wishes as well as to honor one’s work and the relationship she had with her colleagues.

It was a pleasure getting to know Ms. Malope, working with and learning from her. Some of our skills have been enhanced under her guidance.

DSM staff gathered today to bid farewell to a colleague Ms. Lebopo Mosweu who joined the public service in 1988.Today 22/03/2024 ,Ms. Mosweu is retiring from public service after serving for 36 years.
