It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Young Progressives Student Command (YPSC) extends its deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, classmates and loved ones of Michael Junior Choma, as well as the entire University of Botswana community.
Michael Junior Choma was a third-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work. The passing of such a young life, filled with dreams, hopes and aspirations, is a loss that is difficult to comprehend. His departure has left a painful void in the hearts of those who knew him and within the wider UB community.
During this painful and heartbreaking time, we want the Choma family and the entire University of Botswana community to know that you are not alone.
We stand with you.
We mourn with you.
We grieve with you.
And together, we will carry the weight of this painful loss.
To the family of Michael Junior Choma, may you find strength in the love that surrounds you and comfort in the memories you shared with him. No words can ever truly heal the pain of losing someone so dear, but we hope you find peace in knowing that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
To the students of the University of Botswana, especially those who are struggling to come to terms with this painful loss, let us remember to stand together. Let us support one another, check on one another and offer a shoulder to those who may be silently hurting.
As the Young Progressives Student Command, we stand in solidarity with the Choma family and the entire University of Botswana community. Your pain is our pain, and your loss is a loss felt by all of us.
Michael may no longer be physically with us, but his memory, his journey and the impact he had on those around him will forever remain in our hearts.
