Mma Keitumetse Inspires Kasane Primary School Learners.
As Standard Seven learners prepare for their Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE), Kasane Primary School had the honour of welcoming Mma Keitumetse from the Office of Children’s Rights Protection at Kasane Police Station for a motivational session.

Her message focused on discipline, hard work, and self-belief. She reminded learners that success begins with a positive attitude and encouraged them to strive for excellence to make their families and teachers proud.

Pastor Edna Rungwe also graced the occasion with powerful prayers and motivational words. She urged the learners to remain focused, avoid distractions, and practice assertiveness in their academic journey.

School Head Mrs. Leabaneng Nancy Mukuwa expressed joy and gratitude, confident that the session would yield great results. She was especially proud when learners pledged to aim for top results. The Deputy School head Mr Elliot Moloi was also present as head of academics.

Also in attendance were Standard Seven teachers Mr. Mbongeni Luckson, Mr. Mompati Kegakgametse, and Ms. Mobapi Setshego, along with Guidance & Counselling Coordinator Mrs. Molatlhegi, Mrs. Irene Katorah, and Mr. Sydney Mandigo.

PTA members Ms. Molefhi (Chairperson), Mr. George Mfanyana (Vice Chairman), and Mr. Richard (Member) also came to offer words of support and encouragement.

"Your future is in your hands — make every moment count!" – Mma Keitumetse

A heartfelt thank you to Nkanga Lodge for generously donating the conference venue. Your kind support and swift response to our request were truly appreciated and instrumental in making this session a success.

*Cresta Mowana Lodge Kasane,*

Kasane Primary School would like to express its heartfelt appreciation for sponsoring our Standard 7 pupils with a boat cruise on the morning of 25th September 2025.

The boat cruise served as an *educational tour* with the following key purposes:
✅ To provide learners with first-hand experience of Botswana’s rich biodiversity and ecosystems.
✅ To support classroom learning by observing wildlife, river systems, and bird species in their natural habitat.
✅ To inspire environmental awareness and appreciation for conservation efforts.
✅ To offer learners a relaxing yet stimulating activity to *motivate and encourage them* as they prepare for their Primary School Leaving Examinations.

This experience will remain a memorable part of their academic journey. Thank you once again for your generous support and commitment to education.

Mr Mainga- and your crew, thank you so much for making this day a success.

After the boat cruise, our learners had the wonderful opportunity to visit the *Kazungula Bridge*. Their excitement was top notch — they were truly *over the moon* with joy and curiosity.

This added experience enriched their educational tour by exposing them to one of *Southern Africa’s most significant infrastructural landmarks*, connecting Botswana to Zambia and promoting regional integration.

It was a day full of learning, inspiration, and unforgettable moments.

Courtesy Visit by Hon. Simasiku Oscar Mapulanga – Kasane-Chobe MP

Kasane Primary School proudly welcomed Hon. Simasiku Oscar Mapulanga, Member of Parliament for the Kasane-Chobe Constituency, along with his dedicated team. This special courtesy visit was aimed at motivating and encouraging our Standard Seven learners as they prepare for their upcoming final examinations.

Hon. Mapulanga emphasized the importance of education as a tool for personal growth and national development. He urged the learners to work hard, stay disciplined, and believe in their potential to achieve greatness. His uplifting words reminded learners that success is within reach when guided by focus, consistency, and determination.

The visit not only served to boost the learners’ confidence and morale, but also demonstrated the government’s commitment to supporting education at the grassroots level. His presence inspired both learners and staff alike, reinforcing the value of community leadership in shaping future generations.

We as Kasane Primary School staff and learners are truly grateful for the visit and look forward to more engagements that empower our learners and strengthen our school community.

Kasane Primary School pupils today commemorated June 16 under the theme:
Planning and Budgeting for Children’s Rights: Progress Since 2010.

The learners participated in activities that reflected on the struggles of the youth of 1976 while also discussing the importance of investing in children's needs today.
