A safer Lobatse starts with well-maintained roads. Our Roads Department is currently working along Mmamasiloanoka Road, refreshing road markings to enhance visibility and provide clearer guidance to motorists.
These ongoing maintenance efforts contribute to safer journeys, better road visibility and a well-kept town.

Lobatse Town Council yesterday apprehended and charged Mr Mboy Mokgweela, a contractor engaged by a local retail business, Fours Cash and Carry, to dispose of waste on its behalf, for illegal dumping of waste.

The business was fined P3,000 for the offence and ordered to remove the illegally dumped waste within seven (7) days and transport it to the designated landfill.

Lobatse Town Council is currently following up on the matter to ensure that the waste is removed and transported to the landfill in compliance with the Waste Management Act, Cap. 65:06.

The Council urges businesses and members of the public to dispose of waste responsibly and only at designated waste disposal facilities. Illegal dumping is an offence and undermines efforts to maintain a clean, safe and healthy Lobatse.

Let us work together to keep Lobatse clean.
