In the run up to the 2019 general elections. President Masisi promised to ensure that Botswana will manufacture electric cars. He further promised that the project, together with its support industries, will deliver over 100,000 jobs.

He was kind enough to share pictures of the electric car and advised that the plant is located in Mogoditshane. Next week, I will visit the plant and hopefully get to test drive the electric car. I will share my experience and details of the number of jobs created.

I may soon be cruising to Maun without stopping at the fuel stations….
