MEET MOOKETSI LAWRANCE MATSIDIDI - ROADS TRAINING CENTER ALUMNI.
Road Training Centre (RTC) graduate Mooketsi Lawrence Matsididi is a highly qualified road infrastructure professional with extensive experience in road development and maintenance. He completed a Certificate in Highway Engineering Technician (2000–2001) with First Class Honours and a Diploma in Highway Engineering Technician (2002–2004) with distinction from the Road Training Centre.
He later earned a BEng in Civil Engineering with Second Class Upper Division from University of Botswana. He began his career with Gaborone City Council, where he worked for nine months before establishing private companies through which he successfully delivered several infrastructure projects.
These include culvert construction in Mmanoko, road marking and retro-reflective road studs installation along the Lephephe - Shoshong road, labour-based routine maintenance of the Hildavale - Pitsana and Lobatse - Hildavale roads, as well as road marking and retro-reflective road studs installation at Glenn Valley BDF Camp.
His inspiration is to see RTC graduates taking a leading role in Botswana’s road infrastructure sector. He strongly believes that government engagement of RTC graduates in both maintenance and development projects can help elevate the country’s road infrastructure to international standards.
