What a wonderful evening of fellowship and festive cheer at the 2025 Belize Mayorsโ€™ Association Christmas Social. It was great to see mayors from across the country gathered to mark the season and connect with colleagues.

The Association was pleased to be joined by CEO Mr. Valentino Shal and Director Mr. Clifford King, whose presence underscored the importance of continued cooperation and dialogue among local government stakeholders.

This annual event offers a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the yearโ€™s work and to strengthen partnerships as municipalities prepare for the year ahead.

Always a pleasure when the Belize Mayorsโ€™ Association gathers to share updates, learn from each other, and strengthen our collective work for municipalities across Belize. ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฟโœจ

This monthโ€™s meeting in Belize City featured important discussions on:
โœ… The Healthy Municipality Initiative led by the Ministry of Health & Wellness
โœ… The work of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Council (ATIPS)
โœ… Municipal updates on projects, budgets, trade licenses, compliance, and reforms
โœ… National partnerships with IDB, World Bank, Compete Caribbean, CABEI, PACT, CDB and FAO

Collaboration at this level ensures that we, as mayors, remain aligned and focused on advancing good governance, community well-being, and sustainable development across all towns and cities.
