Additionally, we pride ourselves in educating the youth population of current treats to our political and economical Freedom. Aren't you supposed to be the Minister of Youth?

Ministers aren’t just figureheads, they’re elected to serve with grace and humility. They hold offices that impact the lives of thousands of youth that are struggling to survive. These are the same individuals that step into our homes and offer words of encouragement to our teens when they are campaigning for votes. But if this is the example they set on national TV, explicit, disheartening and without empathy, how can our young population feel proud and inspired seeing this type of arrogant and entitled behavior? When our leaders themselves lack respect, it shows just how far behind we are as a nation! And when the Minister of Youth himself sets this tone, it shows just how much of a disgrace he is to the role he holds. Belizean youth demand better representation!

WHAT I HAVE TO SAY
May 30th, 2026

Belizeans are being murdered daily by senseless gun violence. Families are being pushed deeper into the margins of poverty. Small businesses are struggling to survive. Local producers and transportation providers are fighting to safeguard their livelihoods. Our young Belizean men/women have been abandoned by a government that promised opportunity but delivered disappointment without any prior notice. What are they doing?

Fuel prices keep rising. Utility rates are soaring. The cost of living is crushing working families. Inflation continues to erode already stretched household budgets. Healthcare remains out of reach for too many. Infrastructure projects are plagued by cost overruns. Taxes and fees continue to climb. Corruption is entrenched, systemic in our public institutions. Constitutional rights and freedoms are increasingly under threat. Belizeans still want to know: Who tief Budna and why?These are the real issues confronting our nation.

Yet instead of addressing the hardships facing Belizeans, the government appears determined to manufacture distractions, weaponize public institutions, and abuse its authority to silence criticism and divert attention from its failures.

These attempts are deeply troubling. Laws must be respected and applied equally. No one should be above the law; but neither should the law be used as a political tool. Democracy demands accountability, transparency, and respect for fundamental rights and freedoms. It cannot coexist with intimidation, overreach, or the suppression of dissent.

Belizeans must reject any attempt to normalize authoritarian behavior. We must reject the erosion of our democratic values. We must reject the abuse of power. The future of Belize depends on citizens who are informed, engaged, and prepared to defend the freedoms generations before us fought to secure. Enough is enough!

My name is Kristian, and I speak on behalf of some ghetto youths like myself. Where are the opportunities for our young people? We matter only on Election Day nuh fadah ?
It’s rough when 19, 20, and 23‑year‑olds are charged for drug offenses, young people who deserve access to better options and are fighting like many of us to survive out ya.

Where are the structured training programs that Plan Belize 2.0 promised? Cost of living is so high that youth are struggling
just to live a poverty ridden life. Bus fee gone up, taxi fee gone up, and even the Dalla Van is about to increase.

Meanwhile, councilors the throw hand one day and pose fi picture the clean drain together the next. Thousands the goh missing at NICH, City Council, Immigration, and all over. Unu muss tek we fi Idiat!

This is what happens when we vote based on colors, not character. PUP thief so much they confident they’ll have money for municipal elections. But how can you feel good exploiting your own people?

Youths are buying less and less groceries because everything expensive. Keep yuh lee $25, $50, $100. Cause that nuh wah add up to half ah the amount ah thing yuh the put we through. Have some police the treat we like animal and look fi any reason fi lock we up. When the real criminals deh ina guayabera shirt. We tiad ah unu abstract we and tek we fi Idiat! Our life mean something yer.

Today the Youth Popular Front - YPF would like to highlight a huge WIN for the youths of this country.

Yesterday proved that the United Democratic Party is not just speaking about youth inclusion, we are putting young people at the forefront.

Kerwick A. Samuels, an Executive Member of the Youth Arm, served as Master of Ceremonies at yesterday’s press conference with confidence, charisma, and passion. A new face to politics, but no stranger to youth advocacy, unionism, and community engagement, Kerwick represented the voice and potential of a new generation of leadership.

Our Youth Director, Melvin Sutherland, was also seated at the Head Table where he delivered a heartfelt and reflective speech on the realities many young people are facing today under this PUP government. His message reflected not only his own views, but the voices and concerns of Youth Representatives from all 31 constituencies countrywide.

This is more than just a moment.
It is the beginning of a movement driven by young people who are demanding genuine opportunities, real representation, and meaningful change.

The youth are not waiting for the future.
We are helping to shape it now.

Today was an amazing experience for mothers and daughters that wanted to spend some time together and show off their dancing moves. The laughter was loud, the vibes was great and the energy was through the roof. YPF would like to thank UDP Freetown Caretaker Ms. Angelie Perez for allowing us to be a part of such a positive event. The youths are looking forward to seeing all of the great things you have in the pipeline for them in Freetown❤️
