π Happening today in Belize
Today, partners across Belize are convening for the Validation Workshop on the National Child Justice Guidelines. The Workshop is a key step toward strengthening a child justice system grounded in childrenβs rights and best interests and brings together key partners working to strengthen a justice system that puts children first.
In his opening remarks, UNICEF Representative for Belize, Sajid Ali, emphasized the importance of building strong coordination across sectors and establishing standards that ensure effective, child-centered responses for children in need especially those in contact or conflict with the law.
These sessions reinforce that effective child justice depends on coordinated action between justice, protection, and social services, ensuring every child is treated with dignity and supported toward positive outcomes. Working together we can ensure children are protected, supported, and given opportunities to heal, grow, and thrive.
