BYM Belize The BYM is tasked to promote political, educational, cultural, and sporting initiatives among its members.

BYM
With 70% of Belize’s population being young people (aged 14-35), the People’s United Party Constitution rightly establishes a Youth Arm known as the Belize Youth Movement (BYM). The BYM is tasked to promote political, educational, cultural, and sporting initiatives among its members in their communities, to prepare the youth members to carry on the work of the peaceful, constructive, Belizean

Revolution, and to advice the Party on issues affecting young people with a view on influencing decision making. On October 27th 2013, a new Belize Youth Movement National Executive was elected to serve consisting of President Alberto Vellos, Vice President Councillor Howard Melendrez, Treasurer Swamy Babani, Secretary Sheena Urbina and Chief of Staff Micah Goodin. Also elected was Vito Fonseca as the Belize District Representative. Other District Youth Representatives will be elected as the New Executive works to re-organize and rejuvenate the youth arm.
