Important matters were discussed, and work continues in areas of airline connectivity, development of tourism corridors between our two countries, training, and the growth of regional tourism, among others.

Strong, unified message from Caribbean leadership at 🇧🇿🇧🇧

Anthony Mahler, Belize Minister of Tourism, Youth, Sports and Diaspora Relations of Belize, Ian Gooding-Edghill, CTO Chairman and and Barbados Minister of Tourism and International Transport, and Evan Tillett, Director of Tourism of Belize, each reinforced a shared call for action: the Caribbean must move beyond traditional tourism models and build a more sustainable, resilient and inclusive future.

From advancing regenerative tourism and securing climate financing, to integrating the blue, green and orange economies, and ensuring that natural and cultural assets remain at the center of development, the message was clear — growth must be intentional, responsible and people-centered.

Across all three perspectives, one theme stood out: tourism must deliver real value for Caribbean communities, protect the region’s most vital resources, and be shaped through stronger collaboration between public and private sectors.
