BERT Belize Belize Emergency Response Team is a non-profit NGO providing life saving emergency medical services Saving lives and quality of lives in Belize is our mission.

Emergency medical service (EMS), as a profession, is just over a decade old in Belize. We have created an industry, which is now at a critical juncture. We acknowledge the enormous debt of gratitude that we owe to our predecessors, who started EMS movement back around the 1950s internationally and our own Belizean pioneers taking up the challenge since the late 1990s, for the astounding progress t

hat has been made. WE also extend sincere appreciation to the Wagner Foundation, Wings of Hope Inc., Rotary Club of Belize and Ministry of Health, Government of Belize for having the vision and the placing the confidence in our ability to make a difference. Regardless of patient's ability to pay, BERT continues to serve those in need of urgent medical care.

🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE: AHA BLS TRAINING TRANSITION 🚨

We are excited to announce a major upgrade in how we deliver Basic Life Support (BLS) training!
As part of our commitment to providing high-quality, flexible, and up-to-date training, we are transitioning from the traditional Instructor-Led format to the HeartCode® BLS blended learning program.

💡 What does this mean for you? The new format includes:
✔️ A self-paced online learning module that you can complete anytime, anywhere.
✔️ A shorter, focused in-person skills session with an instructor. From 7-8 hours in the training center to now 2-3 hours.
✔️ The same AHA certification card upon completion

💰 Why the price increase?
The AHA has updated courses with new science for 2025. Because of this transition, the cost structure has changed from $90.00 to now $120.00.
This means your total investment now reflects enhanced training tools, updated science, and a more flexible learning experience.
