The Belize Investment Summit serves as Belize’s premier platform for attracting and facilitating B2B (Business to Business) and B2G (Business to Government) matchmaking opportunities. The 2023 Investment Summit created a matchmaking opportunity between the Government of Belize and Mexican investors to diversify Belize’s agricultural offerings. On March 24th, 2026, five (5) Mexican investors, along with representatives from the Ministry of Investment, Investment Policy and Compliance Unit, travelled to Central Farm in Cayo to conduct the first planting and seeding trials for fiber applications.

This initiative represents a significant step towards expanding Belize’s agricultural diversification strategy, creating opportunities in fiber, construction materials, and sustainable products. The collaboration underscores the Government of Belize’s commitment to fostering foreign direct investment, technology transfer, and knowledge exchange with regional partners, particularly Mexico.
