People's Constitution Commission Belize PCC will engage Belizeans transparently to shape a constitutional report reflecting their true will.

The Government of Belize officially launched the People’s Constitution Commission (PCC) on 14
November 2022 after the enactment of the People’s Constitution Commission Act by the National
Assembly of Belize. The PCC Act mandates the PCC to “draft and guide the process of promulgating a
new Constitution for Belize or amendments to the Belize Constitution.

Yesterday, January 26th, Trial Farm Government School requested the People’s Constitution Commission’s presence, as they were interested in learning more about children’s rights.

Lead Commissioner Dr. Perlita Aldana and commissioner Alfredo Ortega discussed the constitution and the students actively engaged by asking multiple questions.

Getting kids involved in discussions about the constitution is crucial for fostering civic awareness and empowering them with knowledge about their rights.
