🕘 From bills to breakthroughs — what a Monday!💼

We kicked things off at 10:15 AM with the Finance Committee diving into the Customs and Excise Duties and Insolvency & Bankruptcy Bills 💵📉
Next up: the Works Committee hammered away at the Belize Building (Amendment) Bill 🏗️🔨
Then history was made! 🕰️ The Health & Human Development Committee wrapped up the Families Bill after a marathon 7.5-hour session — the longest committee meeting ever at the National Assembly! 😮👏
💡 Reminder: Committee meetings are open to the public! Whether you show up or send in your views, your input can shape the future of Belize.✨

Committee meetings happening on Monday May 19 & Wednesday May 21—big bills on the agenda! 📋

Have feedback or recommendations for those bills? Submit a letter by Friday for meeting scheduled on Monday and submit by Monday for meetings scheduled on Wednesday!

🎓📊 Future Parliamentarians in the House!
Seven sharp economics students from Corozal Junior College (Official) visited the National Assembly today to dive into the real-world side of governance and policy🏛️

Two students even wrapped up the experience with a mini presentation on what they learned — talk about leadership in action! 👏💡

46 bright students from St. Augustine R.C. School made their way to Belmopan today for an exciting tour of the National Assembly🏛️ (currently at the George Price Centre!). They explored the chambers, learned about Belize’s government, and left inspired by the power of participation! 🌟👣
