Belize has reached a cross roads in its political history. The present two party system has manifestly failed to deliver the jobs, prosperity, health, and education which independence thirty three years ago promised. In their place a lawless, corrupt and impoverished society has emerged. The time has come for a new direction which recognises that years of red/blue division has stifled the developm
ent of alternative thinking and opposition to the status quo. There are many small regional groups offering new political direction but individually these localised groups are doomed to fail through lack of nationwide support. The Belize Unity Alliance was set up in 2012 to bring together these regional groups under a cooperative banner so that the citizens of Belize will have a viable alternative candidate or slate to vote for when municipal or general elections are held. Without being a political party in its own right, BUA intends to endorse, encourage and support candidates across the nation with the objective of providing the citizens of Belize with a fair and representative government working to fulfil the promises and aspirations of an independent state. The people of Belize and in particular the women of Belize who have been largely ignored at national level, along with the young people who are mostly disenfranchised, must be given their chance to play a part in the development and growth of our nation. This page serves as a means through which the Belizean people shall be made informed of all matters concerning the BUA. Together, we can make a better Belize!
