MRT Launches Two Cutting-Edge Digital Platforms to Modernize Local Governance and Rural Development.

Today, the Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development and Local Government officially launched two groundbreaking platforms: the Trade License Management and Administration System (TRALMA) and the Community Profile Information System (CPIS). TRALMA completely digitizes trade licensing under Act 19 of 2024, allowing business owners to apply, track, pay, and receive QR-coded licenses entirely online. Alongside it, CPIS offers a centralized data hub on rural communities to guide smarter, evidence-based development. Together, these tools cut red tape for local businesses and drive transparent, equitable public service across all districts. MRT and Partners Hold First NRDS Technical Working Group Meeting.

Recently, the Ministry of Rural Transformation held the first meeting of the National Rural Development Strategy (NRDS) Technical Working Group. The session brought together Government institutions and UN agencies to strengthen coordination and align ongoing initiatives in support of the NRDS 2026–2030, helping ensure rural development efforts across the country are integrated, evidence-based, and working toward shared results.

Water Found in Jalacte, Toledo District!

After many days of long hours, hard work, and dedication, our rig team has struck water in Jalacte Village. The next steps are pump and water quality testing of this new production well. This is a milestone for Jalacte, one of the few remaining communities without access to potable water, where residents currently rely on a few hand pumps that often run dry during the dry season. Should this well meet all necessary standards, it will bring Jalacte one step closer to getting a much needed RWS.
