Update on Water Issue...Good Evening we are currently working on restoring water to Ontario and Blackman Eddy. We can confirm that the Pump was damaged in the lightning and thunderstorm yesterday. The motor has been replaced water will be available around 7 pm tonight. Please note that the houses on higher elevations will need to wait longer to have full water pressure. Currently all pipes are empty and will need to be filled for pressure to be restored. We apologize for the inconvenience to all our customers. ***Some areas of both villages have already started to get some pressure***

Buenas noches, estamos trabajando para restaurar el agua en Ontario y Blackman Eddy. Podemos confirmar que la bomba resultó dañada por los rayos y la tormenta de ayer. El motor ha sido reemplazado y el agua estará disponible alrededor de las 7 pm de esta noche. Tenga en cuenta que las casas en elevaciones más altas tendrán que esperar más tiempo para tener la presión total del agua. Actualmente todas las tuberías están vacías y será necesario llenarlas para restablecer la presión. Pedimos disculpas por las molestias a todos nuestros clientes.

Notice...OBE Water board is currently dealing with the water issue this morning. Due to the lightening from yesterday we suspect that the pump or pump timing could have been affected. We will keep both villages updated in this regards. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Ontario/Blackman Eddy Water Board: ....Notice...BEL has informed the waterboard that Electricity will be interrupted on Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 6 am to 3 pm. The OBE Water Board is asking customers to do washing and heavy water usage on Saturday, this will allow the reservoir to be filled on Saturday night. Please limit water usage on Sunday so that both villages have water throughout the day on Sunday. Please fill containers if needed on Saturday, as soon as electricity is back on we will have the pump turned on to limit the shortage of water. We apologize for any inconvenience caused which is out of our control. Thank you.

How to Check your Water Bill. You can use this sample, take your (Current reading) - (Previous Reading) = Total Gallon used. The first 1000 gallons is a flat $7.50 every gallon after 1000 gallons is multiplied by 0.005 (half cent). Add the flat rate $7.50 plus the remainder of gallons and you will get what your bill should be.

Good Afternoon Ontario and Blackman Eddy villagers, please be informed that due to the hurricane we are in the process of doing a Super chlorination of the water system. If you use the village water to drink please boil your water. The water will have an extra strong smell of chlorine this evening and tomorrow. This must be done in order to have clean and safe water. Good Evening Villagers of Ontario and Blackman Eddy, thank you you patience during the past 24 hours. We will have water back in the next 15 to 30 minutes we were waiting for electricity to turn on back. We appologize for any inconvenience caused.

Residents of Ontario and Blackman Eddy Villages: Please be informed that as of 3:00 p.m. this afternoon the Pump will be turned OFF. This will be necessary for the resevoir to be kept full for after the hurricane. This also means that the main valve feeding the villages will be turned off and No water will be flowing in the pipes. Be safe and full your containers for the night. If we have flooding our water source will get contaminated and water will need to be boiled.

NOTICE: We are currently having some water problems during the night and early in the morning. This is due to the less amount of water that is generated by the spring from which we get our source. For the past few days we have noticed that the amount of water that the spring normaly generates is not the same due to the dry season. From 10 am to 2 pm the water level does not rise to the amount needed when the pump is turned on between 2:30pm to 6pm. We are kindly asking that water be used properly and minimize the use of pools etc...In the higher areas of the villages customers will have to fill containers to be able to have water in the morning. Thank you and we appologize for any inconvenience.

Good Morning Villagers of Ontario/Blackman Eddy: Please be informed that there will be interruptions of Water services from 10 am to 1 pm. A valve needs to be repaired on the resivior which will be done during the time mentioned. We appologize for the water shorages in the evenings and early morning. It seems that more water has been used during the day which has caused low pressure in the eveings and during the night. Please help us by reporting any damages to pipes or leakages when you see them. Thank you and we appologize for any inconvenience caused during this time.

Pump has been repaired, 7:28 pm, water should be on in the next few hours. Resivior is being filled but will take a while to fill the pipes in both villages. Thank you for your patience..
