Saturday we had a group of 30 Belizean youths visiting the kitchen to experience the ancient chocolate drink. Knowing kids that age I knew they would like it if I brought out milk and sugar as I normally do for kids, and I was absolutely right. They loved the drink and most came bk for seconds and a couple compared it to "Milo" , saying it tasted like it. So happy they enjoyed it and I don't as able to share a little bit of our Mayan heritage to our very own.

AND Marta her husband Leighton and their two beautiful daughters Penelope and Judy. The all stirred the pots, diced veggies, made corn tortillas, wrapped tamales and ate. Friday morning we cooked along with Matt and Ashley from Connecticut. Ashley being allergic to gluten was quite at home since Mayans didn't have flour in their diets. Corn tortillas, a delicious chicken soup with veggies, cacao and of course tamales were on the menu. Thank you guys for a wonderful morning.
