Thank you to Hippie Mike and his team at HMI Skate Park for a great event today. Keep your Brain in the Game was a blast! These young skateboarders were awesome and so smart about what your brain does and why it's so important to protect it. Thanks to the Brain Injury Alliance, FVBIA &HMI were able to give away some helmets and these sick t-shirts. Thank you to Olympic Skateboarder Andy Anderson for talking with Hippie Mike about pressures around his consistent helmet use outside of competitions.

ICBCโ€™s Brain Injury Pilot project supports injured motorists who have brain injuries under the Enhanced Care system. Ask your Recovery Specialist or local brain injury association for information about it.

ICBC Brain Injury Pilot Program ๐Ÿง
In British Columbia, motor vehicle crashes and falls are the two leading causes of traumatic brain injury.

If you or someone you support experienced a brain injury from a motor vehicle crash (on or after May 1, 2021), a dedicated support and navigation program is now available through ICBC. ๐Ÿš—

This pilot program is designed to:
โœ”๏ธ Help individuals & families navigate recovery
โœ”๏ธ Connect you with the right services
โœ”๏ธ Provide guidance through the ICBC process

At VBIS, we are helping to facilitate this program and support individuals through the process. Clients must apply directly through ICBC to access services.
