Community Inclusion programs from Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Langley came together for a classic summer BBQ. 🌞
This gathering began as a vision from CI Manager Carrie, who wanted to create an enriching social experience where CI participants and staff could strengthen relationships across Bethesda Community Inclusion services.
The BBQ took place on the lawn of Bethel Church, where old friends reunited, former co-workers reconnected, and participants who had moved to different resources over the years had the chance to see one another again. It was also an opportunity to make new friends, with participants, staff, and families enjoying time together across the different services. It was a wonderful reminder of how meaningful community can be.
Everyone bonded over a delicious BBQ meal, hula hooping, inflatable bowling, music, and relaxing in the summer sunshine.
A special thank you to Grow Foundation for providing the delicious meal. This partnership came about through one of our staff members, Denny, whose friends and family volunteer with the organization. Grow Foundation is a Christian non-profit organization committed to nurturing the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of the community, and we're grateful for their partnership. Thank you, !
Carrie hopes that this is just the beginning, with more collaborative events in the works to continue fostering connection, belonging, and unity throughout Bethesda's Community Inclusion services. 💙
