WEATHER ALERT – We are expecting up to 40 mm of rain beginning early this evening continuing into Thursday morning.

Showers are expected early this evening and will intensify as a strong low-pressure system approaches the area. There is a potential for severe thunderstorms late this evening and overnight with heavy rain and strong wind gusts being the primary threats.

Rainfall amounts of 40 mm or greater are possible because of the thunderstorms and showers with this system. These conditions may result in power outages.

Please allow extra travel time, exercise caution on the roads, and prioritize safety. Stay dry and stay safe.

Halton Hills Hydro urges anyone working or spending time outdoors to stay alert and exercise caution around powerlines, and to always request a utility locate before digging. Common projects like landscaping, building a deck, or removing seasonal lighting can become hazardous if overhead powerlines are nearby or underground utilities are disturbed.

Even a brief moment of inattention around powerlines or buried infrastructure can result in serious injury or death. To stay safe, whether you’re relaxing outside, working on your property, or on a job site, remember three simple steps: Stop. Look. Live.

Our office will be closed on Monday, May 18 for the Victoria Day long weekend.
Don’t worry, our crews will still be on standby in case of any outages or emergencies.
We’ll be back to regular office hours on Tuesday, May 19th.
And to add a little fireworks to the mix, off peak rates will be in effect all weekend, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday!
