Hello 2026!
We had a fun time at our New Year's Eve community family dinner and fundraiser for the Veterans.
Our goal was to connect our 2 nonprofits to also create a fun event for all ages in our community.

There were 65 in attendance. We had 19 register at the door. What a lovely surprise. A great turnout for our first event. Families, kids & seniors all sitting together, meeting new people

We appreciated all the compliments for our turkey & ham dinner. We even had some Gluten-free options. So delicious!

Many thanks to the ladies from St. Anne's & St. Joachim Catholic Church and Lmow who provided lots of lovely desserts.

We were lucky to have Sandra, our LMOW volunteer & former drama teacher help with decorating and M/C our evening of games, music bingo, door prizes, our jingle bell rock dance video on our huge screen where everyone who could, stood up to dance!

Our highlight was the ball drop at 9pm from our very own OTTAWA, CANADA! What a hit!

So many people to thank in our community who came together to give us donations & items for our door prizes.
*Special thanks to JD Farms who gave us not just 1 but 2 - 17kg turkeys at the last minute!
Several others generously donated and supported our community family new year's idea.
Including:
JD farms, Saveon, Freshco, 3DM Devices, Pearce Hdwe, Ald. Legion, Pet Junction, Ald. United Church, Ald. Catholic Church, Enigma Soaps, we had cinema tickets donated plus many items from the Christmas markets, especially those 3D critters and Taylor Swift goodies.

We couldn't have had such a memorable evening and fundraiser for the Veterans without all the volunteers from our community who helped out in so many different ways. We all felt very blessed to belong to this Aldergrove Community!

One of the 7 year olds asked their Dad if they could come back next year! So glad the kids had a fun night.

Keep an eye out for end of this year!

*this is also a fundraiser for the Veterans new roof*

For all ages! Bring the family, kids, friends and seniors for a turkey & ham dinner (in case you've had enough turkey).

*Anyone interested in sponsoring a family or an individual ticket for those unable to afford the cost?*

We'd love to see more families having a fun time experiencing new years together!
