Drive with caution on Road 118W South of Road 55N. Culvert has let go leaving a hole in the middle of the road, for now it has been patched up, and will be added to the list of culverts to be replaced. Please report any other road issues you may see. https://rmofwhitehead.ca/p/servicerequest

NOTICE: Illegal Dumping

Dumping bulky items such as couches, furniture, or leftover garage sale items along rural roads is illegal and will not be tolerated.
Offenders are subject to fines and enforcement action under municipal regulations.
Do not assume you are anonymous, items left behind often contain identifying information. We have already been able to trace names and addresses, and enforcement action is underway.
This behavior is unacceptable and disrespectful to our community. It places an unnecessary distraction on Public Works and office staff, costing the municipality significant time and resources.
Dispose of unwanted items properly. Further incidents will be pursued.

🚨 Community Alert 🚨
It’s incredibly disturbing to see someone in our area behave so irresponsibly and with zero respect for animals or our community.
A dead calf was dumped in a ditch early last week, and whoever did it went so far as to remove the ear tag beforehand. That’s not just shameful—it suggests an attempt to hide accountability.
This kind of action may violate animal welfare and environmental regulations, and depending on the circumstances, could lead to fines, investigations, or other penalties under agricultural and livestock disposal laws.
We take pride in our community, and this is not acceptable behavior from anyone claiming to be a livestock owner.
👀 Please keep your eyes open for any suspicious vehicles or activity around rural roads and ditches, especially anyone stopping to unload anything unusual.
📞 If you notice something, report it to local authorities or the appropriate agricultural agency.
Let’s look out for each other, our land, and the animals that depend on responsible care.
