Today, the Kindergarten class and their families enjoyed a meal together: Stone Soup!

The students have been reading the story to learn a lesson about sharing and the importance of communities coming together to take care of each other. We were amazed at the amount of ingredients students brought in to share! The kids worked hard to prepare all the vegetables themselves. This has become one of our favourite traditions we look forward to each Thanksgiving! Thank you to everyone who participated.

🧡 Today, we wore orange and took time to learn, reflect, and remember. Our students participated in meaningful activities and conversations as we honoured the children who never returned home, the survivors of residential schools, and the families who carry their stories.

Today and every day, we remember that Every Child Matters. 🧡

A big shoutout to Logan, our school's top fundraiser! Your hard work and fundraising efforts helped support the important work inspired by Terry Fox.

🌎 We also want to recognize Richard, our Earth Keeper of the Event! Richard did an incredible job helping clean up water bottles along the route while still running the race. What a great example of taking care of our community and our environment!

❤️ Why We Run

The Terry Fox Run is about so much more than running. Terry Fox dreamed of raising money to help find a cure for cancer, and his Marathon of Hope continues to inspire people across Canada and around the world. Every year, communities come together to carry on Terry's legacy and support cancer research.

Thank you to all of our students, staff, families, volunteers, and community members who helped make today's event such a success. We run together, we give together, and we keep Terry's dream moving forward. ❤️

This year marks the 46th anniversary of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope, and we are proud to continue his legacy of courage, determination, and hope. 💙

Our school will be participating in the Terry Fox Run on Thursday, September 24th. Together, we’ll run, walk, and move to honour Terry’s dream of a world without cancer.

Families are encouraged to support and cheer on our students as they take part in this meaningful tradition. Donations can be made online to support cancer research.

Terry Fox started a marathon against cancer.Together, we can finish it.
