🚨MARA PROVINCIAL PARK IS CLOSED 🚨

The park can be accessed by walk in only until May 2027.

There is a high volume of people who visit in the winter with their pets;

🐾 Pets must be on a leash at all times, for your safety and theirs.

🗑️ Help keep the park clean for all visitors by disposing of trash and pet waste in the dumpster by the gate office.

We will not be monitoring our social media messages until May 2027, until then:

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing staff who made this season so special! 🥹🌿
🎉 To our Maintenance team, thank you for keeping Mara clean, safe, and beautiful.
🎉 To our Gate staff, thank you for welcoming visitors with a smile and helping make every visit a great one.
🎉 To our Park Wardens, thank you for keeping an eye on things and helping visitors enjoy the park safely.
🎉 To our Discovery team, thank you for inspiring curiosity, creativity, and a love for nature!

We’re so grateful for all the hard work, laughs, and memories made this season. 💚

And to everyone who visited Mara this year, thank you for being part of another wonderful season! 🌊⛺🐾

Camping has now wrapped up for the season, but day use will continue until on a walk-in only basis. Please remember to pack out what you bring in and help us keep Mara beautiful!

For Plover Appreciation Day, we’re giving a little spotlight to the Piping Plover and Killdeer!✨

Shorelines are busy ecosystems, providing food, shelter, and nesting habitats for all kinds of wildlife! For plovers, having safe and undisturbed places to rest and raise their young is especially important.

So while we enjoy our beautiful shorelines, let’s remember that we share them with some pretty special little neighbours! Give them some space, leave their habitat as you found it, and let birds be birds! ❤️

🐾Happy Furry Friday!🐾

Meet Rune! This 8-year-old Siberian Husky mix is full of energy and always ready to make a new friend.

He was especially excited to meet the gatehouse staff and was more than happy to accept all the pets that came his way!

With a personality as big as his fluffy coat, Rune definitely knows how to make an entrance! ❤️🐺
