On May 7th, attended the Life After High School Transition Planning Symposium hosted by York Catholic District School Board. YSSN representatives, alongside York Region social services agencies, post-secondary institutions, and community partners, presented to families of students with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

With about 140–180 families in attendance, YSSN took the opportunity to connect with families and the community about the resources, services, and supports we offer for students transitioning to life after high school.

It was an informative evening highlighting post-secondary pathways, community supports, employability skills, and future planning.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect with us! ✨

Being a caregiver can be rewarding, but it can also take a toll on your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Even when it feels impossible to take time for yourself, caring for your own health is essential to continue supporting your loved one effectively.

That's why it's important for caregivers to prioritize self-care. 💙
